Whilst not wishing to in anyway criticise the charming lady drivers who operate the class 150 DMUs on the Bittern line (and operate elsewhere in a manner where the sex of the driver is not observable unless the train comes to a stop in the midst of nowhere) it was men who worked out of the obscene locomotive depots in the days of steam. This page will gradually bring together material about individual drivers, their working conditions, and their trade unions. Most will be arranged alphabetically by name.
